Kingston, Jamaica
Can D-JARPS Transport Solutions arrange transport in Kingston?

That includes transfers to and from Norman Manley International Airport, school runs, staff transport, charters, car rentals and guest transport for events, all in our own vehicles.
Tell us the pickup point, the destination, the date and time and the number of people travelling, and we will arrange the trip with you through any of our Kingston transport services.

How is Kingston laid out for someone arranging a trip?
Kingston and St. Andrew together make up the Corporate Area, and the district matters more than the city name when you book. Downtown Kingston is the historic centre and waterfront. New Kingston is the main office and hotel district. Half Way Tree is a major commercial area and the city's main bus and taxi interchange. Liguanea links New Kingston with Hope Road, Papine and the university area.
Portmore sits across the causeway in St. Catherine, and many people who work in Kingston live there. Port Royal is at the far end of the Palisadoes peninsula, past the airport. When you send us a request, give the district and the street address, not only "Kingston", so the pickup is planned from the right place.

How do you get to and from Norman Manley International Airport?
Norman Manley International Airport sits on the Palisadoes peninsula south of the city, beside Kingston Harbour. The Airports Authority of Jamaica describes it as about twenty minutes from Kingston's business centre, and lists buses, taxis and car rental as the ground transport available there.
Every trip to the airport uses the same road along the Palisadoes, so traffic on that one corridor affects every departure. Route planners put the airport at roughly 18 km by road from New Kingston and 20 to 21 km from Half Way Tree. Treat those as distances, not drive times, and allow more time at busy periods.
For a pre-arranged airport transfer, send us your flight number, the arrival or departure time, the number of passengers and bags, and the full address you are coming from or going to.

What affects travel times around Kingston?
Morning and afternoon traffic follows the school and office day, along the corridors that link St. Andrew, Half Way Tree, New Kingston, Liguanea, Downtown and Portmore. Constant Spring Road, Red Hills Road, Hagley Park Road and Molynes Road are among the busiest.
Roadworks change conditions from month to month. In September 2026, works affected the Old Hope Road, Munroe Road and Wellington Drive corridor during the return to school, and in August 2026 part of Constant Spring Road was down to a single lane. Before a time-sensitive trip, check current conditions, and tell us when you need to arrive so the pickup time can allow for them.
Large events add their own changes. Police have introduced one-way systems and parking restrictions around the National Stadium for major matches and national celebrations, so an event trip needs a plan for where guests are dropped and collected.

Where does a pre-arranged vehicle fit alongside Kingston's public transport?
Kingston has a large public transport network. JUTC buses run routes across Kingston and the surrounding areas, with the Half Way Tree Transport Centre as the main interchange. Route taxis carry several passengers paying separate fares along licensed routes, while licensed hackney taxis are hired for a single trip. Knutsford Express runs scheduled coaches between Kingston and other towns from its New Kingston terminal.
A pre-arranged vehicle suits the trips those services are not built for: a door-to-door airport transfer with luggage, a child's daily school run with an agreed handover, staff who start a shift before the buses are busy, or a group that needs to arrive together. If your trip is one of those, tell us about it.

Route planners put it at roughly 18 km by road, along the Palisadoes. The Airports Authority of Jamaica describes the airport as about twenty minutes from the business centre, but allow more time at busy periods.
Yes. We arrange transport island-wide as needed, including Portmore across the causeway. Give us the full address and where you are going.
Port Royal is at the end of the Palisadoes peninsula, on the same road as the airport. A charter or transfer can combine the two, for example a Port Royal visit before an evening flight.
Send us the date, the start and expected finish times, the number of guests and the pickup points. Big events can bring one-way systems and parking restrictions, so we agree the drop-off and collection points with you in advance.
